The twins Emma and Tom move with their mother into an old haunted house, which has been empty for years. Soon, the children discover that the house is hiding a valuable secret, a precious giant diamond that two dangerous criminals are trying to find and steal.

In their quest to find the diamond first, the twins are suddenly helped by a friendly ghost, The Fakir, who has been involuntarily locked inside a pen for half a century. Together with their new friend The Fakir, the twins manage to find the treasure, catch the criminals and bring a new man into the mother’s life.

THE FAKIR is a comedy thriller for the entire family, based on the original book by Bjarne Reuther, starring such great actors as Sidse Babett Knudsen, Peter Gantzler, Ole Thestrup and Moritz Bleibtreu.
