In this second part of the medieval adventure, Arn is send on a last deadly mission in the Holy Land as a Knight Templar. In the desert he has to confront the Saracen commander Saladin, before he can return home to Sweden – and finally marry his beloved Cecilia.

Arn and Cecilia are willing to do whatever they can, to secure a safe future together, and Arn has to fight an uneven battle against the threatening Danish army – to make peace in his own country Sweden. Aided by his Norwegian esquire and skilled archer, Arn destroys the Danish cavalry tricking them to charge into a rain of arrows.

This epic movie also presents an all-star cast, blending factual and fictional to offer up brave knights, powerful queens and treacherous kings in a tale of war, intrigue, friendship and betrayal. A lavish film production based on the bestselling books by Jan Guillou.

ARN II was released theatrically in Scandinavia in 2008 as a sequel to the first movie. Both movies were later combined into a single cut for the English release. In 2009 the full story of ARN was also shown as a TV mini-series on various national TV-stations and on streaming platforms.
