Credits & Facts

A Place in the Sun is based one of Liza Marklund’s bestselling books, where a Swedish family is found murdered, gassed in
their home in Costa del Sol in southern Spain – all except the 16-year-old daughter, who has disappeared without a trace.
Crime reporter Annika Bengtzon travels to Spain, to cover the story. As she investigates, it becomes clear that the murders are connected to a drug trade that reaches from the hashish farms in Morocco to the streets of Sweden.

This TV-movie is the last of six stand-alone episodes in the series about the workaholic journalist Annika Bengtzon, and the film expands the Nordic Noir setting from the cold Swedish landscape to the sunburned coast of Spain and dusty roads in Morocco.
